Both the earring and the stopper are placed in a sterile case by Blomdahl, ensuring that there is no risk of accidental contact with the earring by hands or the client's ear. PIERCE EARS WITH THICKER EARRINGS

For ear piercing, we use earrings with slightly thicker posts than regular earrings. Why? After removing the earring in the sixth week following the piercing, the hole immediately starts to shrink. A thicker post provides an additional safety margin. This allows you to easily wear Blomdahl jewelry earrings without putting the delicate walls of the hole at risk of irritation or infection. That’s why Blomdahl ear-piercing earrings have slightly thicker posts than regular earrings.

The wound from an ear piercing takes over a year to fully heal. During this time, the risk of developing a nickel allergy is the highest. Six weeks after the ear piercing (cartilage – at 12 weeks), it is essential to replace the piercing earrings with Blomdahl hypoallergenic earrings with a thinner post.

By wearing Blomdahl hypoallergenic earrings for at least a year after the piercing, you minimize the risk of developing a nickel allergy. These earrings are also recommended for people who already have a nickel allergy and cannot wear any other earrings.

GOLD ISN'T THAT GOOD ANYMORE

Around 10% of the population is allergic to gold. That's why leading dermatologists do not recommend using gold products for ear piercings or wearing gold earrings during the initial healing period.

Blomdahl has developed the best solution – Golden Titanium. The visible part of the earring is coated with a gold-colored plating, while the part directly in contact with the skin is made of pure medical-grade titanium.
